Six arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Four different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17, PS-19, PS-26 & 39, Chandigarh against six persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later they bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh near her residence while possessing 51 quarters of country made liquor. A case FIR No. 362, U/S 68-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-26 Chandigarh. Later she bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

        A lady resident of Sector-22/C, Chandigarh alleged that unknown pedestrian person snatched away her mobile phone near Piccadilly chowk, slip road opposite Sector-34/C, Chandigarh on 24.11.2018. A case FIR No. 325, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Mohhamad Jumail R/o # 201/202, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No CH-01AF-8706 while parked near his house on night intervening 22/23-11-2018. A case FIR No. 290, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/abducted

A case FIR No. 289, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person resident of Village-Khudda Lohra, Chandigarh who reported that his son age about 14 years and one another boy age about 16 years have been missing from their house, Village-Khudda Lohra, Chandigarh on dated 24.11.2018. Later Missing boys traced out.
