One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later he bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Sector-38, Chandigarh from backside market, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 48 quarters of country made liquor on 27.10.2018. A case FIR No. 420, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Karan Kumar R/o # 1625, DMC, Chandigarh from fish market, DMC, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 9 quarters of Country made liquor on 27.10.2018. A case FIR No. 220, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Raghubir Singh R/o # 194, Village-Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bajaj Discover Motor Cycle No. CH-01AU-3511 from parking of Shanti Kunj, Sector-16, Chandigarh on 12.10.18. A case FIR No.340 U/s 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No.221, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the statement of Pratyaksh Beniwal R/o # 2236, Sector-15, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Swift Car No.CH-01AX-3805 hit to complainant’s Motor Cycle No.HR-80A-1728 near Karan Taxi Stand, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh on 19.10.2018. Motor Cycle Driver namely Pratyaksh Beniwal R/o # 2236, Sector-15, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged Car driver namely Gurdev Singh R/o # 3189, Housing Board Colony, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Fetus found

A case FIR No. 429, U/S 318 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh against unknown person who secretly disposed fetus near Housing Board Light Point, Chandigarh on 27.10.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.
