One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later he bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Vipan R/o #306, PWT, MM, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Plot No.2, TPT Area, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 25.10.2018. Total cash Rs. 1370/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 335, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Sourav R/o # 2107, Phase-7, Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor Motor Cycle No.HP-20E-2299 while parked backside Hotel J.W. Marriot, Sector-35, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 382 u/s 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry Death

A lady resident of Housing Board Complex, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh alleged that Amit Kumar Yadav & other R/o # 776, Housing Board Complex, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh gave poison to her daughter at house on 24.10.2018. The lady got admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh & later she expired. A case FIR No. 315, U/S 304B, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Industrial Area, Chandigarh. Alleged person namely Amit Kumar Yadav R/o # 776, Housing Board Complex, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress
