Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 04 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 04 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 04 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-39= 1 case, PS-Maloya = 3 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Burglary

A lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that she is working as team leader in Sampark Centre, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and on night intervening 20/21.10.18, unknown person stolen away 1 LCD and data card from Sampark Centre. A case FIR No.313, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Anshul Sharma R/o # 1132/B, Sector-46/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 1 LED and 1 Dell Laptop from his house after breaking locks on dated between 18.10.18 to 22.10.18. A case FIR No. 382, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Manjit Singh R/o # 3130, Sector-27/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 40,000/-, 1100 US Dollars, Jewelry, 03 passports, 05 Aadhar Cards, D/L, 05 Pan Cards, Voter Cards from his residence on 22.10.18 . A case FIR No. 332, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-38 West, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s 06 gold bangles, 02 gold necklace, 02 ear rings from her purse at Shop, SCO No.170, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh on 22.10.18. A case FIR No.415, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Murder

        A case FIR No. 278, U/S 302 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against Shivam @ Lefty R/o # 1298, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigrah, who murdered a person namely Rajesh R/o # 1813, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh near # 1436, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 22.10.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A lady resident of Sector-19/D, Chandigarh alleged that unknown persons took away 02 gold bangles and 02 gold rings from complainant by cheating near Irrigation Department, Sector-18, Chandigarh on 22.10.2018. A case FIR No. 306, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Saini Vihar, Part-2, Baltana, Chandigarh alleged that two unknown persons took away 01 gold bangle and 01 gold ring from complainant by cheating near Hotel Solitare, NAC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 22.10.2018. A case FIR No. 314, U/S 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV theft

Sh. Rakesh Kumar R/o # 1006, Sector-6, Panchkula, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Hyundai Verna Car No. CH-01AG-5497 while parked near Sector-52/61, Dividing road on 21.10.2018. A case FIR No. 377, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Threatened for giving false evidence

A case FIR No. 378, U/S 452, 195A, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Lalji R/o P-418, Tin Colony, Sector 52, Chandigarh who alleged that Aman, Chaman, Chuski, Gunga and Anil all entered in complainant’s residence and threatened complainant for changing and giving false evidence in Court related to case FIR No. 56, dated 21.02.2018 U/S 435, 436, 34 IPC of PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
