Demokratic Front, Chandigarh – 04 March :

Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) has commenced its National Safety Week campaign, which will be observed across all its offices from March 4 to March 10, 2025. On the first day of the campaign, employees in all divisional offices of CPDL took the Safety Oath, reaffirming their commitment to prioritizing safety at all times. On this occasion, they pledged to consistently wear safety gear while on duty, adhere to all safety protocols, and actively promote safety awareness among colleagues.

As part of its continued efforts to strengthen workplace safety and public awareness, CPDL has planned a series of initiatives for the rest of the week. To begin with, a Safety Handbook outlining essential protocols and preventive measures will be launched as a reference for employees. Furthermore, fire extinguisher training will be conducted at complaint centers to enhance emergency preparedness. In addition, employee and family engagement competitions, including poster and slogan contests along with a safety-themed quiz, will encourage proactive safety discussions. Moreover, informational handouts will be distributed to the public, fostering safe electricity usage and promoting preventive measures beyond CPDL offices.

Speaking on the occasion, the spokesperson of CPDL reiterated the company’s unwavering commitment to workplace safety: “At CPDL, safety is not just a priority—it’s a core value. Through National Safety Week, we reaffirm our dedication to ensuring a risk-free work environment and equipping our employees with the knowledge and tools necessary for accident prevention.”

CPDL encourages active participation from employees, contractors, and consumers, reinforcing its commitment to building a safer and more sustainable power distribution network.
