Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later they bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Babu Ram R/o C/o Jagga Plot, Saketri, Panchkula, (HR) near Regulator End Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh and recovered 500 gram Opium from his possession. A case FIR No. 205, U/S 18 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Jagat Singh R/o # 262, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh near Shivalik Park Main Road, Manimajra, Chandigarh and recovered 160 capsules Dicyclomine HCL Tramadal, 10 liquid bottles of Codeine Phasphate Triprolidine Hydrochloride (Elturex-T) from his possession. A case FIR No. 420, U/S 22 NDPS Act has beenregistered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 310, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of Bhoop Singh Thakur R/o # 2178 Ambedkar Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of unknown vehicles sped away after hitting to Activa Scooter No. CH01AN-7640 driven by complainant’s wife namely Neetu Saklaniya near dividing road Sector-14/15, Chandigarh on 15.10.2018. She got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 371, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the statement of Ashwani R/o # 2219, Sector-52, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of unknown car sped away after hitting to Pulsar M/Cycle No CH-01BL-9505 near dividing road Sector-52/53, Chandigarh on 15.10.2018. Occupant of M/Cycle namely Rahul R/o Pal Dhaba, Sector 28, Chandigarh, Vinod R/o # 782, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh and Mukesh R/o Sector 45, Chandigarh all got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Tarsem Lal R/o # 2147, Sector-37C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01AN-7580 while parked near Gol Market, PGI, Sector 12, Chandigarh on 16.10.2018. A case FIR No. 311, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Rajat Sharma R/o # 27, Subhash Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda CBR M/Cycle No. CH01AQ-0329 while parked near Fun Republic, Manimajra, Chandigarh on night intervening 15/16-10-2018. A case FIR No. 421, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 202, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vinay Guleria, Area Legal Manager, Mahindra & Mahindra Finance SCO No. 2447-48 Sector-22, Chandigarh against Gurbakshish Singh, Proprietor GDC Trading R/o # 122/C Sec 51A, Chandigarh who did not appeared in the Hon’ble Court after declared PO. Investigation of the case is in progress.
