Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 05 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 05 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 05 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-11 = 1 case, PS-Sarangpur = 2 cases, PS-34 = 1 case, PS-36 = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

MV Theft

Sh. Gurjeet Bohat R/o Near Guga Madi, Village-Teera, Mullanpur, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s blue color Hero Honda Motor Cycle No.CH-01-AU-8765 from parking of Sports Complex, Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 203, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Ashish Solanki R/o # 577/2, Sec-38/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. CH-01BG-8082 while parked near his house. A case FIR No. 410, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Shammi R/o # 2070-2071, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh from near # 1990, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh and recovered 5 Kg 400 Gm Ganja from his possession. A case FIR No. 302, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Sunil Kumar R/o # 716/30, Bapu Dham Colony, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 04 LCD, 02 CPU, 03 Keyboard, 03 Mouse, 01 Printer, 01 Scanner and 50 LCD lights from his shop booth No.92, Sector-18, Chandigarh after breaking the locks during night intervening 11/12-10-2018. A case FIR No.295, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Shivam Mittal R/o # 1297, First Floor, Sector-33/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Mobile phone from his residence during night intervening 10/11-10-2018. A case FIR No.371, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No.200, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the statement of Om Parkash Meena R/o # T-110, Railway Colony, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Truck No.PB-65P-9983 hit to Activa No.PB-65AT-1412 Near Motor Market Turn, Sector-48, Chandigarh on 12.10.2018. Driver of activa namely Vinod Kumar R/o Village-Kandala, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh, where he expired later. Alleged truck driver namely Sanjeev Kumar Yadav R/o # 581, Ambedkar Colony, Balongi, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
