One arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Parmod Kumar R/o # 1454/22, Phase 11, Mohali, Punjab from near Vita booth, Sector 48/C, Chandigarh and recovered 20 grams Heroine and 15 Injections of Buprenorphine & 15 Injections of Pheniramine Meleate drugs from his possession. A case FIR No. 199, U/S 21 & 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-Mani Majra & PS-49, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later they bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Burglary

Sh. Jaswinder Singh R/o # 1144/A, Sector-46/B, Chandigarh reported that on 11.10.2018 some unknown persons stolen away complainant’s 100 grams gold and cash Rs.35,000/- from his house. A case FIR No. 369, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A person resident of Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that one unknown auto driver ran away after snatched cash Rs.1200/- from near bus stop, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 11.10.2018. A case FIR No. 202, U/S 379, 356IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Mohali, Punjab reported that 04 unknown persons ran away after snatching her 02 gold bangles from near 38/39 L/Point Chandigarh on 10.10.2018. A case FIR No. 409, U/S 356, 379, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

Sh. Rakesh Kumar Rana R/o # 2303/1, Sec-45, Chandigarh alleged that Kanika Buddhi Raja R/o Delhi cheated him by taking Rs.1,00,000/- lakh from complainant regarding providing work visa of Singapore to complainant. A case FIR No. 289, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
