Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 30 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 30 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 30 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-03 = 3 cases, PS-11 = 2 cases, PS-19 = 3 cases, PS-26 = 5 cases, PS-MM = 1 case, PS-ITP = 2 cases, PS-MJ = 3 cases, PS-31 = 3 cases,  PS-34 = 4 cases,  PS-36 = 1 case, PS-39 = 2 cases, PS-Maloya = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Vikram R/o J.No. 1091, DBC, Sec-25, Chandigarh near Mori Gate, DBC, Sec-25, Chandigarh and recovered 12 injections of Buprenorphine & Pheniramine Maleate drugs from his possession. A case FIR No. 300, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 299, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of Kavita Jindal R/o Shivalik Vihar, Naya Gaon (PB) who alleged that driver of M/Cycle No CH-01BP-7451 namely Rajnish Yadav R/o # 24, Type 2, PGI, Chandigarh hit to complainant and her minor daughter (pedestrian) near dividing road Sector-11/15 Chandigarh on 14.08.2018. Complainant and her minor daughter both got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 414, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the statement of Jagdish R/o # 803, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No PB-01A-9189 sped away after hitting to complainant’s Activa Scooter No HR-03X-8408 near Housing Board Light Point, Chandigarh on 04.10.2018. Complainant and pillion rider Joginder Singh R/o # 351, Rajiv Colony, Sec-17, Panchkula (HR) both got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 360, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the statement of Shakuntala R/o VPO-Palya, Distt-Mau (UP) who alleged that driver of unknown car sped away after hitting to complainant (pedestrian) on road in front of ISBT, Sector 43, Chandigarh on 14.08.2018. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Kunal Sharma R/o # 126/D, Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away laptop & gas cylinder from his house on 05-10-2018. A case FIR No. 294, U/S 454, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Ravinder Singh R/o # 3088/A, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 2 laptops, 2 mobile phones, one tablet, one gold chain, tops, golden bangles, 3 silver coins, R/C and Insurance of scooter, from his house between 4-10-2018 to 6-10-2018. A case FIR No. 361, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Rohit Panday R/o # 147, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No DL-11SK-6246 while parked near his house on night intervening 25-26/09/2018. A case FIR No. 381, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Robbery

Sh. Arun Kumar R/o # 199A, Small Flats, Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that 3 unknown persons on motor cycles stopped complainant’s auto and robbed away cash Rs. 3000/- and two mobile phones from him on knife point near dividing road, Sector 29/31, Chandigarh on 06-10-2018. A case FIR No. 382, U/S 392, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
