2nd international meet on life sciences, health & environmental sustainability held

Rayat Bahra University successfully hosted the 2nd International Conference on Life Sciences, Health, and Environmental Sustainability (ICLSHES 2025), organised by its Department of Life Sciences. The hybrid-format event was held in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club of Mohali, the Microbiologists Society of India, PSCST, DST, and the National Council for Science and Technology Communication.
The conference featured keynote addresses, expert talks, research paper presentations, scientific exhibitions and interactive competitions, fostering discussions on cutting-edge advancements.
Dr Simerjit Kaur, Director of IQAC, welcomed attendees, followed by a ceremonial lamp-lighting. Chief Guest Dr Varinder Garg (OSD to PGIMER President) emphasized knowledge exchange and networking. Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra and Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh highlighted the event’s role in promoting multidisciplinary research.
Day two featured Chief Guest S Shivdular Singh Dhillon, IAS (Retd) and guest of honour Prof (Dr) Neena Pajni Seth. Keynote speakers included Dr GR Chaudhary (Panjab University), Dr Amit Kumar (University of Tennessee), and Dr DPS Badwal (Just Agriculture). Discussions on entrepreneurship and agripreneurship were also held.
The event concluded with the release of a special issue of the Rayat Bahra International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and the conference’s Abstract Booklet.
