Roots Country School Celebrates Annual Day with a Fusion of Tradition and Innovation

Roots Country School hosted its grand Annual Day, themed ECHOES of Tradition and Wonder, celebrating the Dashavatara—the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The event blended mythology, culture, and creativity, inspiring students to embody values of righteousness and the triumph of good over evil.

Students from grades 1 to 8 mesmerized the audience with theatrical performances, dances, and musical renditions depicting Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalki. The performances received overwhelming applause, showcasing the dedication of students and faculty.

The event was graced by chief guest Lt General Kamal Jit Singh (retired), PVSM, AVSM & Bar, and his wife, Mrs Anita Singh. They lauded the school’s commitment to integrating education with cultural heritage. A key highlight was the inauguration of the AI Robotics Lab, emphasizing the role of technology in modern learning.

School directors, Mr. Sunil Rotha and Mrs. Kriti Rotha, outlined their vision for AI-driven education, fostering personalized learning and critical thinking. Principal Mrs. Susan Bhagra presented the annual report, highlighting academic and extracurricular achievements.

The celebrations concluded with a delightful gathering, reinforcing the school’s ethos of balancing tradition and innovation—giving students “roots to grow and wings to fly.”
