Demokratic Front, Panchkula – May 22 :

The advanced-level instructor training programme of Shastrang Indian Modern Martial Art (SIMMA) concluded in Sector 16, Panchkula. More than 34 coaches from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand participated in the three-day training program that began on Friday. Self-defense moves were taught in the training camp of Shastrang martial arts.

Grand Master Bikram S Thapa (9th-degree black belt), General Secretary & CEO, Shastrang Indian Modern Martial Arts, said that the aim of this camp was to create self-defense coaches for Shastrang Indian Modern Martial Art across the country. We want these coaches to teach self-defense techniques in their respective districts and towns so that in the changing times, women and girls can defend themselves in case of adverse situations. Such camps will continue to be organized in the future also and people from every part of the country will be invited to participate.

The training camp was organized at Shastrang Indian Modern Martial Art Academy, located at 193, Sector 16, Panchkula. Haryana’s director and master trainer Sandeep Singh Bagga (2nd-degree black belt), master trainer Ms. Rosie (3rd-degree black belt), master trainer Dilmaya, master trainer Ms. Sushmita, Ms. Manju of women’s organization from Hissar, Bunty from Rohtak, Nand Singh from Sirsa, Ms. Anuradha from Himachal Pradesh, and Ms. Upasana from Uttarakhand and others participated in the camp.

It is noteworthy that this organization is affiliated with the Shastrang Martial Art International Federation.
