A research project entitled “Development and evaluation of potential LXR modulators against sporadic Alzheimer’s disease”.” has been approved for financial assistance to Prof. Rajat Sandhir, Department of Biochemistry, Panjab University by the Science and Engineering Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. An amount of Rs 61.74 Lakhs has been approved to cover the cost of equipment, manpower and consumables for the project. The aim of the project is to identify novel natural and synthetic modulators of Liver X receptor (LXR) that may be a potential therapy for Alzheimer’s disease.
