Central Placement Cell organized a session on Effective Placements with the use of Artificial intelligence platform for Training & Placement Officers and Student Placement Coordinators of various departments of Panjab University with an audience of more than 150 Training and Placement Officers and students.
The session started with an introductory address by Dr. Sarbjeet Singh, Associate Director, Central Placement Cell and Prof. Meena Sharma, Honorary Director, Central Placement Cell, welcomed the audience and highlighted the need for today’s session. She apprised the audience about various activities undertaken by Central Placement Cell like webinars, workshops, placement drives which focus on overall development and welfare of the students of Panjab University. She also highlighted the need for stronger industry academia interaction as it will help in overall development of the students and exploring better placement opportunities for them.
Dr. Amandeep Singh Marwaha, Associate Director, Central Placement Cell advised the placement coordinators regarding conducting placement activities and made the audience aware about the various methods for betterment of placements in Panjab university and highlighted the issue of bridging the gap between companies and students through the efforts of student and faculty of placement team of the departments which participated in this session,
Mr. Aditya Goel , Senior Manager, Pod.ai demonstrated a training session for all the placement teams of various departments and made them aware about the various tools and technologies of pod.ai that the placement team can use for smooth functioning and betterment of placement activities, he emphasized the importance of a good formatted digital resume and the management of campus placement through an artificial intelligence platform. The placement officers appreciated the ease and use of this platform which is also available as a mobile app both android and ios application.
The session ended with vote of thanks by Professor Ganga Ram Chaudhary, Associate Director, and Central Placement Cell.
