More than 30 students of PU Forensic Science cleared FACT examination

Students of Institute of forensic science and Criminology, Panjab University put another milestone to the Institute name by qualifying the Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test (FACT and FACT Plus) which was conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India on 20 March 2022. More than 30 students from the IFSC Department cleared the exam.

Qualifying candidates for the FACT Plus are Priyanka Mankotia, Navpreet, Bharti, Tanya, Akanksha, Romika, Anjali, Bharti and Jashanjot Kaur.

Qualifying candidates for the FACT exam are Shaurya Rajput, Abhishek Thakur, Damini Thakur, Navreet, Mamta, Richa, Vibhuti and Shavi of batch 2020-22. Ishika, Ajay, Manpreet, Mridul, Nandini, Loric, Sukriti, Simran, Parul, Mitali, Zerish, Damini, Anshika, Reety and Sonali of batch 2019-21. Agreema, Deepti and Anjali of Batch 2018-2020. Shikha and Priya of batch 2017-2019. Anchal of batch 2016-2018.              

The chairperson Dr. Vishal Sharma has bestowed best wishes for the qualified candidates and said that these candidates will now be eligible for getting employed in various state and Central Forensic Science Laboratories all over India. It is an all-India qualifying test with the objective of testing the comprehensive aptitude and skills of students who have pursued Post Graduate subjects in forensic science. It was an CBT based online examination testing the candidates command over basic concepts and specialized forensic science subjects i.e. Forensic Physics, Forensic Ballistics, Forensic Document examination, Cyber Forensics, Forensic Chemical Sciences and Forensic Biological Sciences.

He further stated in addition to this more than six students qualified National level UGC- NET examination 2021. The students who qualified UGC-NET 2021 were Romika (NET-JRF), Priya (NET), Anjali (NET), Taniya Arora (NET) and Ajay (NET), Akanksha Sharma (NET).
