BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today lambasted the AAP government in Punjab for holding back panchayat grants.

Chandigarh, March 25:

He said it was a crude attempt by the AAP government to win over or spread scare among the duly elected sarpanches.

Chugh termed it as a cheap ploy of the Bhagwant Mann government it is a ploy to send  message to the sarpanches as well as to the village panchayats to either fall in line and toe AAP’s diktat or face consequences.

Chugh also ridiculed the AAP chief minister for seeking a Rs one lakh crore package from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling its electoral promises.

Chugh said it was extremely shameful on the part of the AAP government to take money from the Centre and distribute it among the people of the state. “In that case the AAP manifesto should have showcased the Prime Minister as well if the AAP government had to resort to such clever ploys”, said Chugh asking the Bhagwant Mann government to bring fiscal discipline in the state to muster up funds for the schemes AAP announced during the course of the election campaign.
