7 DAYS NSS SPECIAL CAMP

          Chandigarh 24TH March,2022,

Taking into consideration all the COVID-19 protocols and SOPs issued by the Government of India, the NSS Units of Dr. Sapna Nanda Government College of Yoga Education and Health, Sector 23 Chandigarh (U.T) kick-started the Seven Day NSS Special Camp on 24th March 2022.  

          First Session (Inauguration): The inauguration commenced at 10:30 am in the hall in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Ashwani Koul, NSS Programme Coordinator, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Dr. Sapna Nanda – Principal Government College of Yoga Education and Health, NSS Programme Officer – Ms. Rajwant Kaur. The Programme commenced with lamp lighting followed by Mantra chanting by the 50 NSS Volunteers of the college. In her address Principal Madam giving an overview of the so-far achievements of our college. After that NSS song was sung by all the volunteers. Program officer shared the rules and regulations of the camp. During the event, volunteers performed yoga demonstration which was prepared under the guidance of Mr. Roshan Lal, Yoga Instructor. In his presidential address Chief Guest addressed the volunteers sharing an important glimpse about one’s life decisions. On the conclusion of inauguration session Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Mohinder Kumar to the Chief Guest as well as Staff and all NSS Volunteers.

          In the second session, Motivational lecture was given by Mr. Rohit kumar Founder of the NGO Swarmani. In the third session, Lecture was given by Dr. Ravneet Chawla an Associate Professor from Government College of Education, Sector 20, Chandigarh who shared her views on “Values of NSS Volunteer”.

          In the last session, an essay writing competition was organized for the volunteers to participate in competition on the topic “Prevention of Ozone layer” which was conducted by Mr. Kulwant Singh, In-charge, YogEco club of the college followed by the tea to all the volunteers. This programme will be uploaded soon on the college YouTube Channel i.e. GCYEH.
