One arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep Kumar R/o # 164, sector-55 Palsora, Chandigarh (age 24 years) while he was consuming liquor at a public place near 66 KV Vill- Kahjeri, Chandigarh on 25.08.2021. A case FIR No. 152, U/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out.
Action against Gambling
Chandigarh Police arrested Kuldeep (Age-20 Years), Noor Ishlam (Age-40 Years), Ikramul Ansari (Age-26 Years) and Jitender (Age-29 Years) all resident of Chandigarh while they were gambling on public place near Ram lilla ground, milk colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 25.08.2021. Total cash Rs. 2140/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 88, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for using fake registration number
Chandigarh Police apprehended Kamaljit Singh @ Kamal (age 22 years) R/o # 1140/D, Bihar colony, nada road, Naya gaon (PB) while he was using fake Registration No. CH-01AW-5568 on motorcycle, whose actual number is CH-01AW-4064, near Dhanas Bridge on 24.08.2021. In this regard, a case FIR No. 86, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Srimiwas Rai R/o # 3285/1, Sector-38/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa No. CH-01BE-6516 parked at back side Mobile Market, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 19-08-2021. A case FIR No. 131, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Harpal Singh R/o # 1432, Sector-61, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Indica Car No. CH-04F-3533 parked near his residence on the night intervening 18/19-08-2021.
