One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Pardyuman Tiwari R/o Plot No. 118, PH-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh and recovered 12 Bottles of country liquor from his possession near Arunita Gas Agency, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 28.12.2020. A case FIR No. 241, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Arjun R/o # 431, Burail, Chandigarh and recovered 10 injections of buprenorphine and Pheniramine maleate drugs from his possession near Turn Fire Brigade, Sector-32, Chandigarh on 28-12-2020. A case FIR No. 244 U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Babu Ram R/o Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Satbir R/o Kuwara City Colony, Ph-2, Jagatpura, (PB) and Vinod R/o Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh while they were gambling near SCO No. 01, Grain market, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 28.12.2020. Total cash Rs. 740/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 200, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later they were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 199, U/S 188, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against owners Jatin Garg R/o # 24/B, Budhanpur, Sector-15, Panchkula (HR), Abhinav Bansal R/o # 1753, Sector-21, Panchkula (HR) and managers Gajender Singh R/o # 84 Har milap Nagar,SAS Mohali, (PB) and Rahul R/o # 157, Ph-7, Mohali (PB) who served hukka to customers at Bargain Booze Club, SCO No. 33, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 28.12.2020 and violated the orders of District Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Lalit Kumar R/o # 219, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No. CH01AU6137 parked in front of his residence on the night intervening 22/23-12-2020. A case FIR No. 240, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Ropar, Punjab harassed the complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 96, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
