Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Babu Ram resident of Distt. Badaun, UP (age 30 years) and recovered 500 gram opium from his possession near Garcha light point, Phase-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 22.11.2020 . A case FIR No. 211, U/S 18 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Satyan resident of Sector 15, Chandigarh, while he was consuming liquor at a public place near Govt. High School, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh on 22.11.2020. A case FIR No. 164, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Ravi R/o Sector-56, Chandigarh and recovered 25 quarters of country made liquor from his possession on 22.11.2020. A case FIR No. 163, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 217, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sunil Kumar Mallan R/o # 221/1, Sector 40A, Chandigarh who alleged that a lady resident of Distt. Amritsar, (PB) who was driving Honda Amaze car No. PB02EA4721 had hit the complainant’s motorcycle No. CH01BY6070 near Sector 36/37/41/42 Chowk, Chandigarh on 12.11.2020. Complainant got injured and was admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel

          A case FIR No. 225, U/S 323, 324, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Pintu R/o # 1085, Village Burail, Chandigarh who alleged that Shyam Sunder and one other assaulted and stabbed complainant at Jhuggi near Haryana Nirman Sadan, Sector-33, Chandigarh on 21.11.2020. Complainant sustained injuries and admitted in Hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.
