Three arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Vivek kumar R/o # 113, Sector-29A, Chandigarh and recovered 44 quarters of country liquor from his possession near # 145, EWS Colony, Maulijagran, Chandigarh on 18.11.2020. A case FIR No. 203, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Divesh Kumar @ Johny R/o # 9, Village Hallomajra, Chandigarh and recovered 36 quarters of country liquor from his possession near Billing and Service Station, Hallomajra, Chandigarh on 18.11.2020. A case FIR No. 214, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sagar R/o # 953, Phase-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and recovered 18 halves of country liquor from his possession near Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Ph-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh on 18.11.2020. A case FIR No. 215, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abetment to suicide

A case FIR No. 137, U/S 306, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Karan Singh R/o # 1458, Chaman Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh against Kulwant Singh R/o Village Abupura, Teh Sindhwa, Jagraun, Distt. Ludhiana, (PB), who abetted/harassed and threatened complainant’s daughter (age 24 years) who committed suicide on 17.11.2020 at her residence. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident 

A case FIR No. 173, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the statement of a lady resident of Pipli Wala Town, Manimajra, Chandigarh who reported that driver of car No. CH01BC-4806 namely Sagar Dhanda R/o # 12, Bank Colony Manimajra, Chandigarh hit to complainant and her neighbor while they were sitting on chairs at open space near Global School Manimajra, Chandigarh on 18.11.2020. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV theft

          Dhan Singh R/o # 694, Saini Vihar, phase-2, Baltana, Zirakpur, PB, reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s pulsar motorcycle No. CH01AL-0477 from Civil Hospital, Manimajra, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 172, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Sonu Kumar R/o # 170, Village Palsora, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Hero Honda motorcycle No. CH01BE-3319 parked in front of his house on 18.11.2020. A case FIR No. 360, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
