Action against gambling/satta 

Chandigarh Police arrested Sombir R/o # 1057, Sector-25, Chandigarh (age 28 years) while he was playing satta near Main Road, Motor Market, Sector-38(West), Chandigarh on 13.10.2020 and cash Rs. 3260/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 148, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sushil Kumar R/o Village-Kumbra, Distt. Mohali, (PB) reported that unknown person stole away Splendor Pro M/Cycle No. CH01BD0832 parked in front of SCO No. 121-122, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 05.10.2020. A case FIR No. 199, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-56, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Activa Scooter No. CH-04B-7323 parked in front of HDFC Bank, Sector-40/D, Chandigarh on 12.10.2020. A case FIR No. 316, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Extortion/Arms Act

A case FIR No. 315, U/S 384, 386 IPC, 22 & 29 NDPS Act and 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against Rajesh Paswan, Rinku, Javed Jinjha, Vikramjeet Singh Kular, Jackie, Deepak Kundu @ Billa. This case has been registered on the secret information that above persons are roaming in tri-city and they are forcibly demanding ransom from businessmen, restaurant & hotel owners with the connection of gangsters. They are possessing weapons & drugs. On this discreet information accused Javed Jhinjha S/o Sh Bharat Singh R/o House No. 2180 Sector-37-C, Chandigarh Age-24 years has been arrested on 14.10.2020 and one country made pistol along with one live cartridge has been recovered on the instance of accused. Investigation of the case is in progress.
