One arrested under NDPS Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Sukhbir Singh @ Rinku R/o # 556, Sector-45, Chandigarh (age 36 years) and recovered 35 gram heroin from his possession near Dev Samaj School, Sector-45, Chandigarh on 17.09.2020. A case FIR No. 187, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for MV Theft

Bhulesar R/o # 530/A, EWS Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s M/Cycle No CH01-BL-8154 parked near his house on the night intervening 15/16-09-2020. A case FIR No. 118, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later, complainant apprehended the accused person namely Sanjay R/o # 440/C, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh age 20 years near Dispensary EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 17.09.2020. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Parkash Lakada R/o # 1518/A, Dhanas, Chandigarh, reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01BL-5088 from Market, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 08.09.2020. A case FIR No. 83, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Dasondha Singh R/o # 1320/2, Sector-18/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away battery of complainant’s Zen car No. PB-52-4509 while parked near park near his residence on the night intervening 16/17-09-2020. A case FIR No. 74, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 149, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vijay Kumar R/o # 658, Rajiv Colony, Sector-17, Panchkula (HR) against Ravi Kant R/o # 487, Samadhi Gate, Mani Majra, Chandigarh who cheated cash Rs. 1,32,000/- on  pretext of providing job. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Extortion

A case FIR No. 287, U/S 385, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person resident of Mohali (PB) who alleged that Manga R/o Village-Palsora, Chandigarh threatened complainant and demanded Rs. 20,000/- on knife point at Village Palsora, Chandigarh on 17.09.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
