Action against disobeying of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh
A case FIR No. 137, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against Sh. Balwinder Singh Bhunder R/o # 254, Sector 11, Chandigarh and Sh. Bikramjit Singh Majithia R/o Punjab MLA Hostel, Sector 4, Chandigarh and 35 others who were arrested for violating/disobeying orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh near Golf turn, Chandigarh on 07.08.2020. Later all were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under NDPS Act
Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjeet Kumar R/o Vill-Nabhadih PO-Mathurapur, PS-Sikandara, Distt- Jamui, Bihar (age 34 years) and recovered 10 Kg & 100 gm Ganja from his possession near Community Centre, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 07.08.2020. A case FIR No. 167, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
Sarwan Kumar, Manager, Reliance Digital, Shop No. 247, 2nd floor, Elante Mall, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away digital watch from the counter of the above shop on 03-08-2020. A case FIR No. 155, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
A boy resident of Sector-56, Chandigarh reported that 2 unknown persons occupants of motorcycle snatched away complainant’s mobile phone from in front of his residence on 06.08.2020. A case FIR No. 249, U/S 379A, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Anup Sharma R/o # 1023, Sector-37/B, Chandigarh reported that 2 unknown persons occupants of motorcycle snatched away complainant’s Gold Chain near T-Point, Sector-37/B Park near # 462 Sec-37/A, Chandigarh on 07.08.2020. A case FIR No. 250, U/S 379A, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
