One arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Daljeet Singh R/o Village Mehraj Tehsil-Rampura Phool, Distt-Bathinda, Punjab (age 50 years) and recovered 50 gm heroin from his possession near Kacha Rasta, Village Palsora, dividing road Sector 55/56, Chandigarh on 06.07.2020. A case FIR No. 212, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for obstructing public way

 A case FIR No. 213, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against Tanveer R/o # 23/2, Village Buterla, Sector 41, Chandigarh who was arrested near Keshav Bhawan, Sector-37C, Chandigarh, while he was obstructing public way with rehri/fari on 06.07.2020. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh police arrested a lady resident of NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh while she was playing satta near Shiv Mandir, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 910/- from her possession on 06.07.2020. A Case FIR No. 156, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Accused later on bailed out. Further investigation is going on.

Accident

A case FIR No. 99, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of Charanjeev Gupta R/o # 3217, Sector-27D, Chandigarh against driver of M/Cycle No CH04C-4961 namely Anu R/o # 2498, Mauli Jagaran Complex, Chandigarh who hit to complainant (pedestrian) near SBI ATM, Motor Market, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 05.07.2020. Complainant had got injuries and was admitted in Civil Hospital, Manimajra, Chandigarh and later referred to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

 Niraj Gulati R/o # 3264, Sector-35D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person committed theft at Plot No. 504, Phase-2, I/Area, Chandigarh and stole away 113 items of Cosmetics And Beauty Products on the night intervening 30-06-2020/01-07-2020. A case FIR No. 144, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

 Vijay Kumar R/o # 1440, DMC, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Discover M/Cycle No. HR01-AB-2350 parked near his house on the night intervening 15/16-05-2020. A case FIR No. 102, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
