One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Vasdev R/o # 2079, Sector-40, Chandigarh and recovered 12 bottles of illegal country liquor near turn, Sector 40 C&D, Chandigarh on 12.02.2020. A case FIR No. 47, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Distt. Una (HP) harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 28, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Phase-10, Mohali, reported that someone has stole away her Activa No. CH01AB-7598, parked near gate No.2, Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 16, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Fetus/Newborn Found

A case FIR No. 46, U/S 318 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against unknown person who thrown away a dead body of newborn / fetus which found at Dussehra Ground, Sector-56, Chandigarh on 12.02.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Arms Act & Endangering life or personal safety of others

A case FIR No. 25, U/S 336 IPC & 25-27-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the statement of Randeep Singh resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh, working as private Mechanic, against unknown persons who open fire near RIMT School, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 12.02.2020 and run away. Investigation of the case is in progress.
