Govt. College Sector – 1 inaugurates three days Pre – Placement training program for Mega Job Fest

Panchkula, February 3, 2020:

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell, Sector – 1 college today inaugurated a pre placement training program on Does and Don’ts for interview, to boost student morals for the upcoming Mega Job Fair.
College Principal Dr. Archana Mishra informed about Mega Job Fest of Ambala Division to be organized on February 12 and 13 in the college. She said that more than 30 companies from various sectors will participate in the Job Fest. During the drive companies from sectors like telecom, banking, finance, media, hospitality etc. will offer jobs to different faculty students on the spot. In the fourth division level Mega Job Fest, around 1000 eligible students from different colleges are expected to participate.

On the first day of training, students learned how to make their resumes along with interview skills and group discussion.
In the first training session, Career counselor Meenakshi Sharma from Oberoi Educational Institution, discussed in detail about how to give an interview and how to increase self-confidence so that students can make their place in the list of successful candidates by giving interviews with confidence in various companies. Students from Govt College for women, Sector -14, Panchkula, Govt College,Barwala along with Govt PG College, Sector -1 are participating in three days job fest training.

Placement Fair In charge Chitra Tanwar told that the mock interviewing is being done to prepare the students for Mega Job Fest to be held next week. She said that this is the forth divisional placement campus drive to be held at the College campus. She informed that Career Guidance and Employment Awareness fortnight is being observed from January 29 in the college, the mega job fest being the last event. Prof Advitya Khurana is convenor of Career Guidance and Placement Cell whereas Yashpal Singh and Naveen Kumar are co- coordinators.
