One person arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Kuldeep Singh @ Mandi R/o # P-1204, Tin Colony, Sec-52, Chandigarh from near D-Park, Sector 52, Chandigarh and recovered 10 gram heroin from his possession on 05.09.2.019. A case FIR No. 181, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Rahul Rana R/o # 671, Ph-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 25 bottles of liquor near Service Station, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 05.09.2019. A case FIR No. 159, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

          Chandigarh Police arrested Ankit R/o # 91, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Monu R/o # 224/A EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh and Harish R/o # 166 EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh while gambling at EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 05-09-2019. Total cash Rs. 6800/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 128, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 127, U/S 420, 120B, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Apurva Gandhi, Counsellor, WCHL 181, Chandigarh against two unknown ladies who took a lady to Chandigarh for providing job but they forced the lady and got a affidavit from her about donating her kidney. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 212, U/S 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manoj Chamoli R/o # 10, Police Line, Sec-26, Chandigarh against Jitendra Singh, Ramesh, P.K Mishra, Vishvendra Singh all C/o Top Ride Cab Services pvt. ltd, 1^st  floor, 7B, Nehru Nagar, Apartments Gandhi Nagar, Agra, U.P. who cheated Rs. 17,18,500/- from complainant regarding investment in cab service of Top Ride Cab Services pvt. Ltd. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Nirmala R/o # 3355, Sector 29D, Chandigarh alleged that her neighbor namely Sonjeet Kaur R/o # 3354, Sector-29D, Chandigarh has stolen gold jewelry, ATM card and Rs. 5,000/- from complainant’s residence on 04.09.2019. A case FIR No. 242, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Mohit Saini R/o # 248, Sector 7A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 10 kg Vita Ghee, DVR, documents and Rs. 3500/- from Vita Booth, near Housing Board Light Point, backside NAC, MM, Chandigarh on night intervening 04/05.09.2019. A case FIR No. 137, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 138, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the statement of a lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh who reported that one unknown person (pedestrian) snatched away gold chain of complainant near Panna Sweets, Motor Market, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 05.09.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.
