One arrested with fake number plate on Activa Scooter

Chandigarh Police arrested Happy R/o # 764, Balwadi Mandir, near Govt. School Hallo Majra, Chandigarh near T-point, Iron Market, Sector-29, Chandigarh while he was using fake Registration No. PB-65TC-7241 on Activa Scooter on 04.09.2019. In this regard, a case FIR No. 241, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Assault/Outrage modesty of women

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that a boy namely Kalu stopped complainant, eve-teased and beaten her near Jhuggi, New Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 04.09.2019. A case FIR No. 201, U/S 323, 341, 354, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Alleged person namely Rajat @ kalu R/o Jhuggi No. 170, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sukhbir Kumar R/o # 4468, Sector-46/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away M/Cycle No. CH-01AE-7783 parked near Fragrance Garden, Sec-36, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 180, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Amrinder Singh R/o # 2506, First Floor, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away M/Cycle No. PB-26E-3945 parked near his residence. A case FIR No. 296, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 110, U/S 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Krishan Lal Vaid R/o # 3040, Tribune Society, Sector-50/D Chandigarh reported that unknown person called on mobile phone of complainant and told himself HOD in finance ministry and introduced GP Insurance Senior Citizen scheme. Alleged person told complainant that investment of Rs. 6.23 lakh will give return of Rs. 19 lakh every year. Alleged person cheated Rs. 6,23,000/- transferred through RTGS by complainant on 14.08.2019.  Investigation of the case is in progress.
