One arrested under Arms Act

          A case FIR No. 240, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh against Raja R/o # 518, B-Block, Colony No. 4, Chandigarh age 19 years, who was arrested near Housing Board flats, Colony No. 4, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh and recovered knife (kamanidar) from his possession on 03.09.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Robbery

          Veer Singh R/o # 1119/2, Govindpura, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person robbed away complainant’s mobile phone on knife point near Gate No. 5, MHC Duplex, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 21.08.2019. A case FIR No. 135 U/S 392 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later one person namely Nitesh R/o # 261, Mari Wala Town, Mani Majra, Chandigarh age 24 years, has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Raj R/o # 460, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, while playing satta near Shiv Mandir, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 03.09.2019. Total cash Rs. 720/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 200, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak R/o Jhuggi No. 3805, Sector-25, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 50 quarters of country liquor near Main Gate, Motor Market, Sec-38/W, Chandigarh on 03.09.2019. A case FIR No. 144, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Outrage modesty of women

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that Hari Om, Ex. Employee of Haryana Civil Secretariat, Sector-1, Chandigarh eve-teased complainant and beaten her in bus at back side Haryana Civil Secretariat, Sector-1, Chandigarh on 03.09.2019. A case FIR No. 239, U/S 323, 354 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 240, U/S 419, 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Man Mohan Singh, Liberham R/o # 81, Sector 9, Chandigarh reported that unknown person called on phone and claimed himself from bank. He informed that debit card has been blocked and taken particulars of complainant. Later complainant came to know that fraud transaction of Rs. 2.31 lakh has been made from his account on around 03.07.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 111, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kamal Kishore R/o # 5644, MHC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that complainant is having cloth shop in the name of M/s S.K. Textiles at SCO No. 11, Sector 20D, Chandigarh. On 26.08.2019 unknown person make a call to complainant and given order of Rs. 2.30 lakh. Alleged person received cloth order worth Rs. 2.30 lakh from complainant shop by giving duplicate DD of Rs. 2.30 lakh of ICICI Bank Kalka Branch to complainant.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 211, U/S 419, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jagmohan Singh Sandhu, Branch Head, Punjab National Bank, SCO No. 56, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person called in branch and told himself as Mr. Karun Hoon, Director, Chrisma Gold Wheels (P) ltd and requested to remit Rs. 9.90 lakh through RTGS from company’s CC account on 16.07.2019. He provided the cheque number but he assured that the cheque will be sent soon as he is out of station. Relying on the communication and keeping in view the status of the company of MS Chrisma Gold Wheels (P) Ltd, the RTGS transaction was made. But later MS Chrisma Gold Wheels (P) Ltd informed the bank that no cheque was issued against any RTGS from company. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 136, U/S 420, 406 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kamal Aggarwal R/o # 339, Ashoka Garden Colony, Karnal Road, Kaithal (HR) reported that one person namely Karan cheated away Rs. 2 lakh regarding providing school bag on wholesale rates on 30.08.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Deterred public servant

A case FIR No. 173, U/S 332, 353 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ct. Ravinder, Traffic Staff against driver of Taxi car No. PB-01B-6207 who sped away after hitting to complainant while on govt. duty at light point, Sector 25/38, Chandigarh on 03.09.2019. He got treatment from GH-16, Chandigarh Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Amit Kumar R/o # 622/1, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Fortuner car No. HR02AG-0150 of complainant’s friends parked near complainant’s residence on 02/03.09.2019. A case FIR No. 179, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dikshant Sharma R/o # 3523/2, Sector-38-D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away motorcycle No. HP20G-8508 parked near his residence on 02/03.09.2019. A case FIR No. 294, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/quarrel

    A case FIR No. 223, U/S 452, 323, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Raj Kumar Pal R/o # 40, Sector-44A, Chandigarh who reported that he is running property consultant office with name of Rama Properties. On 03.09.2019, Jaipal and his son Rohit both R/o # 984, Sector 17, Jagadhari, Yamuna Nagar, (HR) along with other person tress passed into his office and beaten and threatened complainant. Investigation of the case is in progress.

    A case FIR No. 224, U/S 452, 323, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manjit Singh R/o Village Sanwana, Distt- SBS Nagar, (PB) reported that he is working private driver with Amrit Taxi Stand, Sector-32, Chandigarh. On 28.08.2019, Rimpy, Surinder Kumar and Raman were loudly using abusive language at outside of office Amrit Taxi Stand, Sector 32, Chandigarh. When complainant stopped them, they suddenly entered in Taxi Stand and beaten / threatened complainant. Alleged persons Sachin Kumar @ Rimpy R/o # 65, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and Surinder Kumar R/o Makhupur, Tehsil Balachaur, Distt- Nawashehar (PB) have been arrested in this case.
