One person arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Shambhu R/o # 329/2, Samadhi Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh age 42 years, near TPT parking, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered 43 gram charas from his possession on 26.08.2019. A case FIR No. 200, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Lakhwinder Singh @ Lucky R/o Village Dhura, Distt. Sangrur, (PB) while he was illegally possessing 48 boxes of country wine & English wine contained in 13 bags in Swift Car No. PB13BE0676 near Gate No.1, Truck parking, TPT area, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 26.08.2019. A case FIR No. 201, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Five apprehended for Burglary

          A case FIR No. 229, U/S 380, 457, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amit Malhotra r/o #1300, Phase 3B-2, Mohali 
(PB) who reported that unknown person entered in their factory i.e. Indian Auto Factory, Plot No. 136-140/91, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh after cutting backside sheets on 26.08.2019. All alleged person were apprehended on the spot with the help of police. Alleged person namely Rinku Yadav R/o # 212/3, New Flats, Maloya, Age 19 years, Mandeep R/o # 162, Village Maloya, Chandigarh Age 19 years, Amit Nagar R/o # 121, Village Maloya, Chandigarh Age 19 years have been arrested on the spot. Two juveniles also apprehended and sent to juvenile home. Investigation of the case is in progress.        

Snatching

A case FIR No. 218, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the statement of a lady resident of Sector-46-A, Chandigarh  against unknown motorcyclist who snatched away her purse containing ATM card and some cash near H. No. 428, Sector-46-A, Chandigarh on 26.08.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 287, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the statement of a lady resident of Sector-38-A, Chandigarh  against unknown motorcyclist who snatched away her gold/diamond chain, near H.No. 1063, Sector-38-B, Chandigarh on 26.08.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Shitla Parshad R/o # 1323, Chaman colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. CH01AY-7635, near his residence on the night intervening 18/19.08.2019. A case FIR No. 123, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Kalyan Singh R/o # 553, Kirpal Nagar, Zirakpur, Mohali, PB, reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. PB64AV-1823, near Sadar Bazar, Sector-19, Chandigarh 16.08.2019. A case FIR No. 109, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Rioting

    A case FIR No. 176, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 452, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Avtari Lal R/o # 647, Village Kajehri, Chandigarh who alleged that Chatar pal, Suresh, Tiwari, Karan, Lakhan, Ajay, Kamal, Monu, Bablu, Raju, Rajesh, Nana & four ladies, all entered in complainant’s house and attacked on him and his family with iron roads/sticks on  26.08.2019. Four alleged person have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Trespassing/Theft

A case FIR No. 170, U/S 382, 452, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jitender R/o Village Jhajwan, Distt. Jind, Hisar, HR, who alleged that Vikas, Deepak, Ramesh and one unknown person entered in Janta Garage, Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh and beaten complainant, owner Suresh Kumar and other workers on 26.08.2019. They also have stolen Camera, DVR, LCD from their Garage. Vikas @ Vicky R/o # Gharwal, Tehsil Ghohana, Sonipat (HR) and Deepak Sharma R/o Village Ajrana, Distt. Kurukshetra (HR), Ramesh @ Kala R/o # 1557B, Sector 41, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
