Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 31.07.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing 72 boxes of illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Tulsi R/o # 596, Phase- 9, Indst. Area, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab (age- 42 yrs) while he was illegally possessing 300 boxes of liquor carried in Tata 407 No. CH-01TA-2636 from naka near Bus Stand, Village- Maloya, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 113, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector- 8/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s bag containing mobile phone and charger from near Anil Chemists, Sector- 22, Chandigarh on 31.07.2019. A case FIR No. 241, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Dinesh Kumar R/o # 1015/A, Sector- 41/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 01 gold bangle, 01 pair tops, cash Rs. 17,500/- from complainant’s residence after breaking locks on 31.07.2019. A case FIR No. 253, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
