CSVS celebrated traditional Indian culture, ‘Yoga’

Purnoor, Chandigarh June 21, 2019

            Celebrating traditional Indian culture, Yoga, meditation and their growing appeal in the global world, Interdisciplinary Centre for Swami Vivekananda Studies organised a small get together of university faculty, students and yoga enthusiasts on the fifth International Yoga Day. Everyone took part in a one hour programme which began with Yoga protocol. Mr Ashu Pratap demonstrated different types of asanas, pranayams, kriyas emphasising their significance in daily life. This was followed by a heartfulness meditation session conducted by Kanika a Research scholar from Department of UIPS of Panjab University along with preceptor Sh Deepak. Ms Alaka Gauri from Vivekananda Kendra also participated. Everyone enjoyed the experience and took inspiration to follow this in daily routine. The coordinator of Centre took this opportunity to announce introduction of a certificate course in Yoga and meditation in the Centre from the session 2019-20
