Officers Milan & Kavi Sammelan organised by SBIOA

State Bank of India Officers Association (SBIOA) Chandigarh Circle organized an Officers Milan and Kavi Samelan  on 15^th June 2019 at Local Head Office of State Bank of India, Chandigarh to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of successful Indefinite strike by the officers.

  The indefinite strike of 1969 by All India State Bank Officers Federation was the first in the world by any managerial staff.  Com. Sanjay Sharma President and Com. Deepak Sharma, General Secretary of the Chandigarh circle welcomed Chief Guest Shri Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Chief General Manager of State Bank  of India, Chandigarh circle, the General Managers of the circle, Com. Sambit Mishra, President of All India State Bank Officers Federation, Com. Sanjiv Bandlish, Converner of United Forum of Bank Unions . Many veteran leaders including Com. G D Nadaf, Com. Amar Pal, Com. T.N. Goel, Com. A Ramesh Babu and A Akhauri graced the occasion.

More than 500 members from the tricity including 19 retired officers who participated in the strike in the year 1969 attended the function and were honoured by the Circle Association.  The speakers as well as the Kavis namely Kunwar Baichen, Sunahari Lal Turunt, Dinesh Devgrahia and Mrs. Monika Chattu came together on one platform to share the compositions and narrate inspiring tales of heroic contributions of the retired officers.

The function ended with a series of praise and applause.
