20 persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place under special drive

        In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out in different parts of the city. Under this drive total 19 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 20 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-PS-03= 03 cases, PS-11= 02 cases, PS-17= 03 cases, PS-Ind. Area= 04 cases, PS-Manimajra= 02 cases, PS-IT Park= 01 case, PS-31= 02 cases, PS-36= 01 case, PS-Maloya= 01 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

MV Theft

Sandeep Kumar R/o # 65, Bank Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s splendor motor cycle No. HR-31K-7886 while parked near mobile market, Sector- 22, Chandigarh on 30.05.2019. A case FIR No. 167, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

        A case FIR No. 131, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh on the statement of Umma Shankar R/o Kabadi Market, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of auto No. CH-01TB-3751 namely Chander Pal R/o # 201, Village- Daria, Chandigarh who hit to complainant near Dharam Kanta, Village- Daria, Chandigarh on 03.06.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Accused person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 126, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against Vikrant Singh R/o # 198, Dewa ki Colony, Mukerian, Hoshiarpur, Punjab (Manager) who was opening Neros Club Bar, SCO No. 193, Sector- 7/C, Chandigarh late night without any intimation to local Police. Accused arrested and later bailed out.

One arrested for trespassing

A case FIR No. 140, U/S 451 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector- 34/D, Chandigarh who alleged that one person namely Nagina Singh R/o # 1815, Sector- 34, Chandigarhtrespassed in complainant’s residence on 08.06.2019. The accused person has been arrested in this case. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
