A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 31.05.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under Arms Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu @ Shera R/o # 1317, Rajiv Colony, Sector-17, Panchkula (HR) near BSNL Office, Mani Majra, Chandigarh and recovered one country made pistol and 3 live cartridges from his possession on 01.06.2019. A case FIR No. 71, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Suman R/o # 584/1, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh from near T-Point, Sec-38-A/B, Chandigarh and recovered 7 gram heroin from her possession on 01.06.2019. A case FIR No. 154, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Gagandeep R/o # 294, Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. HR-03P-3497 parked near his residence on 25-05-2019. A case FIR No. 69, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Ravi Sharma R/o # 612, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s TVS M/Cycle No. HR-03G-2182 parked near his residence on night intervening 25/26-05-2019. A case FIR No. 91, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Subash Chand R/o # 136/2, Palsora, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. HP-19B-2244 parked near his residence on 22-05-2019. A case FIR No. 153, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A case FIR No. 158, U/S 269, 270, 273 IPC & Section 20 of COTPA Act has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak Bakshi, Tobacco Nodal Officer, GH-16, Chandigarh against Rajan R/o Boom Box Café, Basement, SCO No. 34-37, Sec-9, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A case FIR No. 159, U/S 269, 270, 273 IPC & Section 20 of COTPA Act has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak Bakshi, Tobacco Nodal Officer, GH-16, Chandigarh against Sumesh Gagneja owner of Pipe and Barrel Cafe, SCO No. 156-157, Sec-9/C, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
