One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-I.T Park, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 07.05.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Rinku R/o # 1037, Phase-1, Ramdarbar from near Powerhouse, village- Hallo Majra, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 134 bottles of country made liquor on 07.05.2019. A case FIR No. 144, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Distt.- Fazilka, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa scooter No. PB-05U-5304 from Hostel No.1, Punjab University, Sector- 14, Chandigarh on 30.03.2019. A case FIR No. 77, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Vajid Khan R/o # 254, Samadhi Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s splendor motor cycle No. CH-01AD-9262 from Samadhi Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 19.08.2018. A case FIR No. 63, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 99, U/S 279 IPC & 185 MV Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ms. Namita Agarwal R/o # 1221, Sector- 42/B, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Ciaz car No. PB-65AJ-3754 namely Baljinder Pal Singh R/o # 4185, Sector- 46/D, Chandigarh who hit to complainant’s Innova car No. HR/3/TEMP/2019/5046 near SCO No.1, Sector- 42/C market, Chandigarh on 06.05.2019. Accused arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 125, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amarjit Singh R/o # 2119/1, Sector- 37/C, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown driver of Verna car No. DL8CAA-9144 sped away after hitting to complainant’s daughter on Activa Scooter No. CH-01AS-3737 near booth No. 314-16, Sector- 37/D, Chandigarh on 10.04.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Village- Burail, Chandigarh, reported that unknown pedestrian person sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone from near Killa, Village- Burail, Chandigarh on 06.05.2019. A case FIR No. 106, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Mandeep Singh R/o # 593, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s 02 mobile phones, 01 laptop and cash Rs. 20,000/- from his residence on 07.05.2019. A case FIR No. 145, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rioting/Quarrel

A case FIR No. 61, U/S 147, 149, 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sunny R/o # 2809, DMC, Chandigarh who alleged that Krishan, Mukkadar, Arjun, Rishi and Karan all sped away after beaten and threatened complainant near # 2805, DMC, Chandigarhon 05.05.2019. Later on 01 accused person namely Karan R/o # 2805, DMC Chandigarh (age- 19 yrs) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Causing grievous hurt by act endangering life

          A case FIR No. 114 U/s 338 IPC has been registered in PS- Ind. Area on the complaint of Vishal R/o # 798, Vikas Nagar, Mouli Jagaran, Chandigarh who alleged that due to the negligence of Anil Dhawan (Contractor) R/o # 174, Raipur Khurd, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, 01 bundle of iron coil fell down on the legs of complainant’s at Bhushan Factory, Plot No. 71, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh on 07.05.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in PGI where during treatment doctors cut his left leg. Accused person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
