“The Makers of the Universe-Artisans and their Deities”

           The Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture & Chandigarh, Panjab University, Chandigarh  organized a special lecture on “The Makers of the Universe-Artisans and their Deities”  by Professor Mahesh Sharma Dept. of Evening Studies – Multi Disciplinary Research Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh.  In  his illustrated talk he threw light on how images of deities were formed and iconography was manipulated.  He specially talked about the images of Vishvakarma in  which fusion of iconographic features  are clearly visible.

 The lecture was attended by senior faculty members, students and research scholars of allied departments of Panjab University.
