One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 16.04.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

03 arrested for Snatching

Mukesh Kumar R/o # 473, DMC, Chandigarh alleged that 3 unknown persons on motor cycle No. CH-01AX-4933 sped away after snatching cash Rs. 3,000/-  and copy of R/C from complainant near Karan Taxi Stand, DMC, Chandigarh and drop his splendor motor cycle near small chowk, Sector- 38, Chandigarh, on 16.04.2019. A case FIR No. 53, U/S 356, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later on 03 accused persons namely Deepak R/o Gali No. 12, Jujhar Nagar near Gurudwara Sahib, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab (age- 34 yrs), Sarabjit Singh @ Goldy R/o Gali No. 13, Jujhar Nagar near Gurudwara Sahib, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab (age- 23 yrs) and Deepak R/o # 268/B, Small Flats, Village- Dhanas, Chandigarh (age- 23 yrs) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Samir R/o # 2504/1, Sector- 49/C, Chandigarh and Devinder Singh R/o # 254/2, Sarangpur, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Mullanpur Barrier, Chandigarh on 16.04.2019. Total cash Rs. 2,000/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 56, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

01 arrested and 01 apprehended for Kidnapping/Assault & Arms Act

A case FIR No. 92, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 365, 506 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Harsh Goyal R/o # 459/2, Sector- 44/A, Chandigarh  who alleged that Rajat Tiwari, Pyush Sharma,  Harpreet Singh @ Laddi, Yogi and Chetan all kidnapped complainant from Verka booth, Sector- 34, Chandigarh in their car and threatened him with pistol on 15.04.2019. Later on 01 accused person namely Pyush Kumar R/o # 21/2, Sector- 41/A, Chandigarh and 01 juvenile age about 17 ½ years have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A lady resident of Distt.- Bareli, Uttar Pradesh reported that her daughter age about 15 years has been missing from Govt. School, Sector-27, Chandigarh on 04.04.2019. A case FIR No. 94, U/S 363, 366 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
