Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 07 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 07 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 08 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-PS-03 = 2 cases, PS-11 = 1 case, PS-26 = 1 case, PS-I.T Park = 3 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Burglary

Deepak Nangal R/o # 3386, Sector-23/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s cash Rs. 4,18,000/- and Cigarette boxes worth in lacs from plot No. 922, Phase-2, Industrial Area, Chandigarh (Nagpal agencies) on night intervening 13/14-04-2019. A case FIR No. 126, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Manjoor Ahmed R/o # 715, Charan Singh Colony, Village- Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 35,000-40,000/-, 02 LPG Cylinder from complainant’s residence on night intervening 09/10-04-2019. A case FIR No. 71, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Pankaj Tekaria R/o # 641, DMC, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Yamaha M/Cycle No. CH-01AE-7895 while parked at Sadar Market, Sector- 19, Chandigarh on 14.04.2019. A case FIR No. 56, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Naresh Arora R/o # 1489/1, Sector- 29/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No. CH-01BQ-1348 while parked near his residence on night intervening 13/14-04-2019. A case FIR No. 105, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Mohammad Kasim R/o # 260, Village- Badheri, Sector-41, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Swift Car No. CH-01BG-8566 while parked near his shop No. 54, Village- Badheri, Chandigarh on night intervening 10/11-04-2019. A case FIR No. 98, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 104, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh against Sanjay Verma (Owner) and Rajinder Chouhan (Manager) of Para Club, Centra Mall, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh who were using DJ System without permission at Para Club, Centra Mall, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that his son age about 16 years has been missing from complainant’s residence since 14.04.2019. A case FIR No. 125, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

Manpreet Singh R/o # 2265, Sector-35/C, Chandigarh alleged that Surinder Singh R/o # 380, AKS Colony, Patiala Road, Zirakpur, Punjab cheated complainant in matter of sale/purchase of House No.550 situated at Village-Hallo Majra, Chandigarh. Alleged person taken Rs. 12,50,000/- from complainant in between December- 2013 to 02.04.2014 in installments. Then complainant personally enquired from his own sources regarding the status of property and came to know that Surinder Singh is neither the owner of property nor in possession of the same. When complainant asked him to refund his money he refused to returned the same. A case FIR No. 124, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
