Police arrested snatcher recovered vehicle and mobile

Purnoor, Chandigarh 12.04.19 :

                    On 11.04.2019, Chandigarh Police (Police Station Maloya) has achieved a major success to arrest accused Jhujhar Singh S/o Late S. Tajinder Singh R/o Village-Mullanpur Sodian, Distt-Mohali, Punjab, age-27 years wanted in Case FIR No.38 dated 19.03.19 U/s 356, 379 IPC, PS-Maloya, UT, Chandigarh who had snatched a mobile from a person namely Shiv Kumar S/o Haripal R/o H. No. 558, Vikash Nagar, Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh near Sector-38/38West roundabouts on 19.03.19 on his motorcycle no.PB65-AJ-2344. During the investigation, snatched Mobile and motorcycle used to commit crime has been recovered.

                        On 09.04.2019, mobile phone snatched in case FIR no.38, dt.19.03.19 U/s 379, 356 IPC found activated and on enquiring, the same has been found active on the name of Surinder Singh S/o Harchand Singh R/o Village-Rani Majra, Chandigarh. On tracing, Surinder Singh disclosed that his mobile phone make Redmi Note-4 was not working, so, he got a standby mobile phone from Mehra Telecom.

                   Owner of the above said shop i.e. Harjinder Singh @ Shanty S/o Malagar Singh R/o Village-Nanglian, Distt.Mohali, Punjab disclosed that his known person namely Mandeep Singh has given this mobile phone to him by mortgaging the same in lieu of Rs.2200/-.

                   Upon this, Mandeep Singh S/o Avtar Singh Village-Rani Majra, Distt.Mohali, Punjab, age-25 years got traced who disclosed that his known person namely Jhujhar Singh S/o Late S. Tajinder Singh R/o Village-Mullanpur Sodian, Distt-Mohali, Punjab has sold the mobile phone in question to him in lieu of some money and he has given the mobile in question to Harjinder Singh at his shop and taken Rs.2200/- from him.             

                   During the interrogation, it is revealed that accused Jhujhar Singh is well qualified up to B.A, LLB who is married and his wife is residing in Canada. He got to used drugs from the last 1½ years and to fulfill his drug needs, he snatched the mobile on 19.03.19.
