One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-I.T Park Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 09.04.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady R/o Mauli Complex, Chandigarh from near Green Park, Railway Road, Village- Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 01 kg Ganja from her possession on 09.04.2019. A case FIR No. 694, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Monu R/o # 682, Sector- 38/A, Chandigarh from sector- 38/B T-point, near Gurudwara and recovered 10 gram Heroin from his possession on 09.04.2019. A case FIR No. 94, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone from near beat box, Modern Housing Complex, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 09.04.2019. A case FIR No. 53, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Distt.- Mohali, Punjab alleged that 02 unknown persons sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone from near Sector-48 A/B Turn, Chandigarh on 09.04.2019. A case FIR No. 35, U/S 379, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Mukesh Kumar R/o # 2322, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh while he was gambling near Shivalik garden, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 09.04.2019. Total cash Rs. 750/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 52, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abducted/missing

A person resident of village- Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that complainant’s daughter aged about 15 years has been missing from near his residence since 08.04.2019. A case FIR No. 68, U/S 363, 366 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Ayodhaya Parsad R/o # 562, Sector- 38/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01AK-5686 while parked near his residence on night intervening 07/08.04.2019. A case FIR No. 95, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Sector-40, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Surat, Gujarat harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 67, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
