Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-PS-03 = 1 case, PS-MM = 2 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Ravi Kumar R/o # 324/A, Village Dariya, Chandigarh from near BSNL turn Mani Majra, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 22 bottles of liquor in Activa Scooter No. CH-01BS-9063 on 08.04.2019. A case FIR No. 51, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 119, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Anchal Thakur R/o # 271, Sector-20/A, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. HR-71G-3763 who sped away after hitting to complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01AG-3940 near Gurudwara Sahib, Sec-8, Chandigarh on 05-04-2019. Complainant’s got injured and was admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector 18, Chandigarh alleged that 2 unknown persons on Activa Scooter sped away after snatching complainant’s bag containing study notes near Market, Sector-18, Chandigarh on 08.04.2019. A case FIR No. 53, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sanjeev Jain R/o Sector-6, Panchkula, (HR) reported that unknown person stolen away Laptop, one DVR, 4 Cameras, Modem, Dongle, Jio Phone and One Tab from complainant’s factory i.e. Plot No. 181/29, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on night intervening 07/08-04-2019. A case FIR No. 99, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Ram Kumar Pandey R/o # 2327, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s E-Rickshaw No. HR-99ACQ(T)-3627 from near Kishangarh Chowk, Chandigarh on intervening night 04/05-04-2019. A case FIR No. 79, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sunil R/o # 1639, Sector-39, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bicycle from near his residence on 07-04-2019. A case FIR No. 93, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dishonest misappropriation of property

Sh. Kuldeep Singh Bhalla R/o # 105, Ph-3/A, Mohali (PB) alleged that  Kailash Sharma and other both Managing Directors of M/S AK Vidya Mandir taken SCO No. 213, Sector 36D, Chandigarh on lease from complainant and lease deed was signed between them. Later eviction was order by court on the ground of non-payment of rent. Further alleged person also deducted the TDS from complainant as per the rent agreement against said SCO but did not deposit it with the Income Tax Department. A case FIR No. 82, U/S 403 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the direction of Hon’ble Court. Investigation of the case is in progress.
