चुनावी प्रक्रिया की सुविधा हेतु राजनैतिक दलों के लिए डीसी कार्यालय में उपलब्ध है सिंगल विंडो ब्रांच

उपायुक्त एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी डाॅ. बलकार सिंह ने बताया कि लोकसभा चुनाव के लिये राजनैतिक दलों द्वारा प्राप्त की जाने वाली विभिन्न स्वीकृतियों के लिये उपायुक्त कार्यालय में सिंगल विंडो पर्मिशन ब्रांच स्थापित की गई है। यह पर्मिशन निर्वाचन आयोग की सुविधा एप अथवा उपायुक्त कार्यालय की इस ब्रांच से व्यक्तिगत तौर पर प्राप्त की जा सकती है।

उन्होंने बताया कि इसके लिये राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सेक्टर-7 की प्रिंसीपल श्रीमती स्नेहल लता को नोडल अधिकारी बनाया गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि यह शाखा प्राप्त 8 बजे से रात्रि 10 बजे तक खुली रहेगी और इसमें दो अलग-अलग शिफ्टों में कर्मचारी तैनात रहेंगे। 

उपायुक्त ने बताया कि चुनाव आयोग ने पहली बार ऐसा प्रावधान किया है कि लोकसभा चुनाव में कोई भी व्यक्ति सी-विजिल एप के माध्यम से चुनाव आचार संहिता के उल्लंघन की जानकारी दे सकता है। इस एप पर प्राप्त होने वाली शिकायतों व जानकारी पर कार्रवाही करने के लिये भी एक टीम का गठन किया गया है। यह टीम हरियाणा शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण के एस.डी.ई. अजय बंसल के नेतृत्व में काम करेगी। इसके अलावा यह टीम प्लाईंग स्क्वार्यड टीमों व स्टेटिक सर्वेंलेंस टीमों की रिपोर्टों की भी मोनेटरिंग करेगी। 

–चुनाव में शराब के इस्तेमाल पर नजर रखने के लिये बनाई गई है टीमें

उन्होंने बताया कि चुनाव में मतदाताओं को शराब का लालच देना भी चुनाव आदर्श आचार संहिता का उल्लंघन है। उन्होंने बताया कि जिला के दोनों विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में शराब के इस्तेमाल पर नजर रखने के लिये लिकर मोनेटरिंग शैल स्थापित किया गया है।

उन्होंने बताया कि 01 कालका विधानसभा क्षेत्र में आबकारी एवं कराधान विभाग के निरीक्षक सोनू यादव तथा 02 पंचकूला विधानसभा क्षेत्र में सहायक आबकारी एवं कराधान अधिकारी संजीव मित्तल के नेतृत्व में गठित टीम ऐसी गतिविधियों पर नजर रखेगी। 

6 अप्रैल से 14 अप्रैल तक आयोजित होगा माता मनसा देवी चैत्र नवरात्र मेला – उपायुक्त पंचकूला

, 13 मार्च-

पंचकूला में चैत्र मास के दौरान प्रतिवर्ष आयोजित होने वाले माता मनसा देवी मेले के सफल आयोजन के लिये आज श्री माता मनसा देवी श्र्राइंन बोर्ड कार्यालय में एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक आयोजित की गई। इस बैठक की अध्यक्षता पंचकूला उपायुक्त डाॅ0 बलकार सिंह ने की और बैठक में मुख्य रूप से एस0डी0एम0 पंकज सेतिया, कालका एस0डी0एम0 श्रीमती मनीता मलिक, नगराधीश गगन दीप सिंह, श्री माता मनसा देवी श्राईन बोर्ड के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी एस0पी0 अरोड़ा, ए0सी0पी0 ओम प्रकाश सहित अन्य संबंधित अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे। यह मेला 6 से 14 अप्रैल तक आयोजित किया जायेगा और पूरे मेले में पाॅलीथिन के प्रयोग पर पूरी तरह प्रतिबंध रहेगा।

उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि वे चैत्र नवरात्र मनसा देवी मेले के सफल आयोजन के लिये सभी आवश्यक प्रबंध समय से पूरा कर लें। मेले के दौरान कानून व्यवस्था बनाये रखने, यातायात प्रबंधन तथा भीड़ को नियंत्रित रखने के लिये पर्याप्त संख्या में पुलिस बल तैनात करने के निर्देश दिये गये। इसके अलावा मेला परिसर में पर्याप्त संख्या में नाके इत्यादि लगाने पर भी चर्चा की गई। माता मनसा देवी मेले के साथ-साथ कालका में आयोजित होने वाले काली माता मंदिर मेला के लिये भी सुरक्षा यातायात व भीड़ प्रबंधन विषय पर चर्चा की गई।

मेला परिसर में सफाई व्यवस्था बनाने पर विशेष बल दिया गया और नगर निगम पंचकूला के अधिकारियों को इस कार्य की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई। यह निर्देश दिये गये कि मेले के दौरान प्लास्टिक बैग पर पूरी तरह प्रतिबंध रहेगा। मेले के दौरान अधिकारी नियमित रूप से दुकानों का निरीक्षण करेंगे और प्लास्टिक बैग का प्रयोग पाये जाने पर नियमानुसार जुर्माना भी किया जायेगा। स्वास्थ्य विभाग के अधिकारियों को माता मनसा देवी परिसर और काली माता मंदिर कालका में एंबुलेंस, प्राथमिक चिकित्सा, खाद्य पदार्थों का निरीक्षण इत्यादि की जिम्मेवारी सौंपी गई।

मेले में श्रद्धालुओं के सुविधाजनक आवागमन के लिये परिवहन विभाग को अतिरिक्त बसे लगाने तथा सिटी के अधिकारियों को भी मेले के दौरान अतिरिक्त परिवहन सुविधा उपलब्ध करवाने के निर्देश दिये गये। उत्तर हरियाणा बिजली वितरण निगम के अधिकारियों को मेला अवधि के दौरान निर्बाधित बिजली आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने, वन्य जीव प्राणी विभाग के अधिकारियों को मेले के दौरान नील गाय, बंदर व इस क्षेत्र में आने वाले अन्य जंगली जीवों से श्रद्धालुओं की सुविधा के लिये आवश्यक निर्देश दिये गये। हरियाणा शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण बागवानी शाखा के अधिकारियों को फूलों की साज सज्जा, अग्नि शमन विभाग के अधिकारियों को फायर सर्विस, मेला परिसर व मंदिर के लिये आने जाने वाले मार्गों की आवश्यक मरम्मत, स्वच्छ पेयजल आपूर्ति, यात्रियों को सूचना देने के लिये प्रसारण केंद्र स्थापित करने, मेला क्षेत्र में पार्किंग की सुविधा उपलब्ध करवाने सहित अन्य जिम्मेवारियां सौंपी गई।

Path of Sukhmani Sahib & Kirtan at UILS

Faculty, Staff and students of University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University Chandigarh participated in Path & Kirtan to commemorate the 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in a befitting manner, here today. This event was a part of the series of yearlong Celebrations organized by Government of Punjab and Panjab University, Chandigarh.  
On this occasion, path of Sukhmani Sahib, kirtan was recited by students.  The program was attended by Prof. Shankar Ji Jha, Dean University Instructions, Prof. Emanuel Nahar, Dean Student Welfare, Mr. Rajan Brar, Chairman Bar Council, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Mr. Suvir Sidhu, Secretary, Bar Council, Punjab & Haryana High Court.  
Students enthusiastically participated in the event and it was followed by Langar at UILS.

Lecture on the Message of Guru Nanak in the Digital Age

The department of English and Cultural Studies,Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with the organising committee, constituted for celebrating the 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak DevJi, conducted a lecture on the Relevance of the Message of Guru Nanak in the Digital Age, here today.

Prof. Karamjit Singh, Registrar, PU remarked how in current times of social inequality and distress, spreading the Guru’s message is ever more important. The basis of his message is to spread happiness, remove inequality and become awakened through regular reading of the Gurbani.

Mr.Rupinder Singh,primary speaker and senior associate editor with The Tribune, proceeded his lecture by establishing the revolutionary nature of Guru Nanak via his secular statements, challenges to existing religious order and promotion of religious harmony. At the time of Guru Nanak, sangat, pangat, and langar were established by the Guru as focal points for the framework of Sikhism. He forgave those who were intolerant and put them on the path of a pious life through ethical living and recitation of God’s name. In opposing the caste system, Mr. Singh expressed how the precursors of gurudwaras, dharamsals, were pivotal in using hunger as a leveller to overcome the unwillingness of the public to eat with lower castes. He reminded the members of the survival of langar or community kitchen at Sikh Day Parades, war zones, etc. He concluded his presentation with a summation of the digital presence of the Sikh community with aesthetic websites on Sikh culture and heritage such as SikhNet.com and SikhChic.com.

Mr. Singh’s words were significant to establish the applicability of the Guru’s teachings in the contemporary world. After his talk, there was a question and answer session. Research scholars raised important questions on how to imbibe Guru Nanak’s teachings in everyday life. Mr. Singh observed that by taking small steps of reading, understanding and practicing such teachings one can take inspiration from the Guru’s life.

Distinguished guests present were Prof. B. N. Goswami, professor emeritus, Prof. Deepti Gupta, the chairperson of the department, Prof. Sukhwinder Singh as well as faculty members and research scholars from different universities.

Rs. 14.5 donated to PU Dental College

M/s Mohan Fiber Private Limited in their pursuit of Philanthropy has donated Rs.14.5 lakhs to Dr.Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental  Sciences & Hospital, Panjab University, Chandigarh for upgradation of the Radiographic facilities which willpromote the welfare of the patients, here today. Promoters and Directors of M/s Mohan FiberPvt. Limited, Shri Krishan Kumar and Sh. Muneshwarji accompanied by Shri Madhukar Malhotra, Post District Governor, Rotary presented a cheque of Rs.14.5 lakhs which was received by Professor KaramjeetSingh, Registrar, Panjab University and Professor JagatBhushan, Principal-cum-Professor, Dr.Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

 Dr.Jagat informed that this money would be utilized for digitalization of X-rays in two departments of the Dental Institute along with limited local networking and with suitable contribution from others, they would completing the networking for whole of the Institute which will be immense beneficial for the patients as it would reduce the time required for radiographic investigation as well as would help lot in preserving the records of the patients.

Inaugural session of CHASCON-2019at PU

13th Chandigarh Science Congress, CHASCON-2019  on the theme “Science and Technology for New India”  organized by Panjab University in association with Chandigarh Region Innovation and Knowledge Cluster (CRIKC), was inaugurated  by Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor Panjab University,here today.

Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor in his address while appreciating the conference organizers said that we need to carry out research on socially relevant aspects and build relation between Industry, Academia and Researchers. He wished for the success of the conference alongwith fruitful deliberations which could be converted into action plan. He proposed the idea of collaboration with International Institutes, International Bodies and bring more proposals to the Govt. to strengthen economic support system.

Prof. S.S. Patnaik, Director, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTR), Chandigarh in his address urged the youth to aggressively “Think without Box”to meet the needs of challenging era.  He gave three mantras to the youth to achieve their goals i.e. Partnership builds Strength, Networking builds Wealth and Empowerment builds Progress. He asked the young scientists and researchers to be like a river finding their way through persistence and confidence.

        Earlier Prof. RajatSandhir, Deptt. of Biochemistry PU and CHASCON convener in his welcome address said that this conference is a platform for young and innovative students to enhance their research acumen through interaction with eminent scientists. He added that the theme this year is related to Science and Technology and is apt as these are the key elements in the economic growth of modern India. He further informed that 1200 plus participants are participating from all over India and around 800 research papers will be presented.

           On the occasion, E-souvenir was released by the dignitaries. Among those present on the occasion included former Vice Chancellor Prof. Arun K. Grover, PU Fellows, Deans, CRIKC members Chairpersons, Faculty, Researchers and Students.

Vishal Chillar murder case solved

Chandigarh Police successfully solved a recent murder case of Police Station, Sector-49, Chandigarh (Murder of Vishal Chillar, ex-student of DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 06.03.2019 in Sector-49) by arresting all of the seven (7) accused persons.

Facts of the case:

On 06.03.2019, case was registered on the complaint of Sh. Pankaj S/o Sh. Brij Bhushan R/o # 2813/1, Sec.49, Chandigarh in which he stated that Sudeep along with his accomplice attacked on him and his friends Vishal Chillar, Aashish, Meghal and others when they were sleeping in their house. In this attack, Vishal Chillar was killed and others were got injured. The accused party fled away from the spot and injured were taken to Hospital where Vishal Chillar was declared brought dead in PGI.

On 08.03.2019, 5 accused i.e.

1) Rahul Manda S/o Zile Singh, Age-21 Years R/o New Police Lines, Hisar, Haryana,

2) Ramdeep Sheokand S/o Virender Singh, Age-21 Years R/o Madhuban Colony, Ward No. 12, Barwala, District-Hisar, Haryana,

3) Sumit Kumar S/o Ranbir Singh, Age-23 Years R/o Shiv Nagar, DCM Mill Gate, Hisar, Haryana

4) Sushil Kumar S/o Bal Kishan, Age-20 Years R/o Sunder Nagar, Barwala Road Hisar, Haryana and

5) Amandeep Nehra @ Bachi S/o Ajmer Singh, Age-21 Years R/o Vikas Nagar, Hisar, Haryana were arrested and vehicle/items used in crime were also recovered.

Yesterday, in the late evening, on receiving information that the remaining 2 accused i.e.

1) Sudeep Pahal S/o Bijender, Age-22 Years R/o Village-Bara Khurd, Near Gohana bypass Jind, Harynana and

2) Naveen Seharawat S/o Gulab Singh R/o Village-Badhmalik, District-Sonipat, Haryana , will reach in Chandigarh and their movement will be through Poultry Farm Chowk, Naka was laid by the police party headed by SI Virender Singh. SI Virender Singh. During checking, both accused Sudeep Pahal and Naveen Seharawat were apprehended and later on arrested after interrogation. Weapons used in the crime have also been recovered.

Reason of enmity:

Complainant party as well as accused party, both are involved in student politics and they had heated arguments during the elections times also. They are involved in verbal spat many times to make their impression among the students, which finally led to the present brawl on 06.03.2019.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 13 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 13 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-3= 3 cases, PS-26 = 1 case, PS-19= 1 case, PS-Ind. Area = 3 cases, PS-I.T Park = 1 case, PS- Manimajra = 1 case, PS-Mauli Jagran = 2 cases, PS- 34= 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Three arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh from Sector-31 A/B dividing road and recovered 10 gram Smack/Heroine from her possession on 12.03.2019. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Michael Wilfred-M Bonu R/o Vikas Puri, Delhi from near Shani Mandir towards Phase-2, Industrial Area light point, Chandigarhand recovered 12.5 gram cocaine from his possession on 12.03.2019. A case FIR No. 87, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Sunny R/o # 3000, DMC, Chandigarh from near Govt. toilet, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh and recovered 10 gram heroine from his possession on 12.03.2019. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Bittu R/o # 2060, DMC, Chandigarh from near Sheetla Mata Mandir, Village- Daddu Majra, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 50 quarters of country made liquor on 12.03.2019. A case FIR No. 31, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Ajay Kumar R/o # 1186-P, Sector-52, Chandigarh from Tikona Park, DMC, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 20 quarters of country made liquor on 12.03.2019. A case FIR No. 33, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Dharminder R/o # 166, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Sharma Shop, in front of NIC Park, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 12.03.2019. Total cash Rs. 1,010/- was recovered from him. In this regard, a case FIR No. 54, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-I.T. Park, Chandigarh. Later he released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Harwinder Pal R/o # 10/A, Village- Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. CH-01BA-9731 while parked near Verka palnt, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh on 07.03.2019. A case FIR No. 49, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Shri Kant R/o # 257, Village- Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bullet Motor Cycle CH-01BR-5186 while parked near complainant’s residence on night intervening dated 09/10.03.2019. A case FIR No. 85, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Khushadrwaj R/o # 749, Gali No. 11, Vikas Nagar, Village- Naya Gaon, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab reported that 3 unknown persons on Motor Cycle snatched away complainant’s activa scooter No. CH-01AQ-1827 from Khuda Lahora bridge to Naya Gaon road, Chandigarh on 11.03.2019. A case FIR No. 44, U/S 379, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-40/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person on Motor Cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s bag containing cash Rs. 20/30 thousand, Pan Card Aadhar Card, Atm Card from near Sector-37/41 light point, Chandigarh on 12.03.2019. A case FIR No. 61, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Balbir Singh R/o # 2360, Sector-20/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away taps, water meter, water cooler motor and some cloths from complainant’s residence after breaking locks on 12.03.2019. A case FIR No. 30, U/S 454, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sukhwinder Singh R/o Shop No. 1830, Deep Complex, Village- Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 01 AC Compressor, 01 Fridge Compressor, 22 kg copper pipe, 1 drill machine, shoulder, welding lead and 1 motor from complainant’s shop after breaking locks on the night intervening dated 11/12.03.2019. A case FIR No. 84, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 34, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the statement of Surinder Yadav R/o # 487/G, small flats, Village- Dhanas, Chandigarh against driver of motor cycle No. PB-27T-2018/257 namely Sunny R/o # 97/A, small flats, village- Dhanas, Chandigarh who hit to complainant’s  uncle (pedestrian) near # 509/A, Small Flats, Village- Dhanas, Chandigarh on 09.03.2019. Complainant’s uncle namely Sukhdev got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Accused person namely Sunny arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

Salaudeen R/o BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh alleged that 02 unknown persons cheated away cash Rs. 13,000/- from complainant from Punjab National Bank, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 12.03.2019. A case FIR No. 53 U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

बीती रात एलओसी पर पुंछ सेक्टर में पाकिस्तान के दो लड़ाकू विमान देखे गए भारत का राडार सिस्टम हाई अलर्ट पर

सारी दुनिया में अपने आतंकी ठिकानों पर भारतीय सेन द्वारा किए गए सटीक हमले के बाद अपना एफ़-16 गँवाने पर भी पाकिस्तान चेत नहीं रहा, सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में उसकी सामरिक हलचल और हवाई बेबकीय भारत की राडार की नज़र से बचीं नहीं हैं, सेना उसके किसी भी दुस्साहस का मुंहतोड़ जवाब देने को तैयार है।

नई दिल्ली: बीती रात एलओसी पर पुंछ सेक्टर में पाकिस्तान के दो लड़ाकू विमान देखे गए. भारतीय एयर डिफेंस के रडार ने इन्हें डिटेक्ट किया. इस घटना के बाद भारत का राडार सिस्टम हाई अलर्ट पर है.

इससे पहले,  27 फरवरी को पाकिस्तान के लड़ाकू विमानों ने जम्मू एवं काश्मीर में भारतीय सीमा का उल्लंघन किया था. भारतीय वायुसेना ने इसका मुंहतोड़ जवाब दिया था. भारतीय वायुसेना ने पाकिस्तान का एक लड़ाकू विमान भी मार गिराया था. पाकिस्तान अपनी हरकतों से बाज नहीं आ रहा है. सीमा पर संघर्ष विराम का लगातार उल्लंघन करने के कारण बुधवार को भारत ने सीमा पार व्यापार को रोक दिया. 

जम्मू कश्मीर के पुंछ जिले में पाकिस्तानी सेना द्वारा बिना किसी उकसावे के मोर्टार से गोले दागे जाने और छोटे हथियारों से फायरिंग कर संघर्षविराम के उल्लंघन के बाद बुधवार को सीमा पार व्यापार को रोक दिया गया. एलओसी व्यापार केंद्र के संरक्षक फरीद कोहली ने बताया कि चक्कन दा बाग में व्यापार सुविधा केंद्र पर मोर्टार से पांच गोले दागे गए, जिससे एक्सरे स्कैनर वाले कमरे सहित अन्य जगहों को नुकसान पहुंचा. 

उन्होंने कहा कि दिन में साढ़े 12 बजे के करीब गोलाबारी हुई. उस वक्त ट्रकों की जांच करने का काम लगभग पूरा हो चुका था. गोलाबारी में कोई हताहत नहीं हुआ लेकिन इससे केंद्र में तैनात लोगों में दहशत फैल गयी। हालांकि, मुख्य इमारत सुरक्षित है. कोहली ने बताया कि गोलाबारी के कारण दिन भर के लिए सीमा पार व्यापार को रोक दिया गया. अधिकारियों ने बताया कि सुबह साढ़े 10 बजे कृष्णा घाटी में गोलाबारी शुरू हुई और बाद में पुंछ सेक्टर में भी गोलीबारी की गई. भारतीय सैनिकों ने कार्रवाई का माकूल जवाब दिया और अंतिम खबर मिलने तक गोलाबारी चल रही थी.
