Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 06 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 06 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 07 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-03= 2 cases, PS-11= 1 case, PS-ITP = 1 case, PS-39= 2 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS

        Chandigarh Police arrested Sunny R/o # 2603, DBC, Sector-25, Chandigarh from near dental turn, Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered total 24 injections of drugs from his possession on 17.02.2019. A case FIR No. 28, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Suresh Kumar R/o # 306, VPO-Ramgarh, Distt.-Panchkula, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s bullet Motor Cycle No. HR-03X-4219 from parking of PEC, Sector-12, Chandigarh on 15-02-2019. A case FIR No. 30, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abducted/missing

A person resident of Village- Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that complainant’s son aged about 16 years has been missing from his resident since 16.02.2019. A case FIR No. 67, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Theft

        A case FIR No. 47, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the Complaint of Aasif R/o Village- Mehmoodpur Ghari, Tehsil, Mavana, Distt.-Meerut, Uttar Pradesh against unknown person who stolen away 05 PVC (2 full top, 02 plastic-T, 1 elbow) and 1 iron testing cube from backside CITCO Petrol pump, Sector-17, Chandigarh on the night intervening dated 16/17.02.2019. Later on one accused lady resident of Sector-25, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
