One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Subhash Chand R/o # 9, Village-Hallomajra, Chandigarh from near Samadhi Mandir, village-Hallo Majra, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 16 quarters of country made liquor on 13.02.2019. A case FIR No. 59, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested 1.) Shamim R/o # 1647, near Kila, Manimajra, Chandigarh 2.) Sharafat Ali R/o # 912, near Mata Rajkaur Gurudwara, Manimajra, Chandigarh 3.) Salim R/o # 1253, Dariyan Wala Mohalla, Manimajra, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Gate No.3, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 13.02.2019. Total cash Rs. 3,500/- was recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 19, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abducted/missing

A person resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that complainant’s daughter aged about 17 years has been missing from Govt. Senior Secondary School, Sector-47, Chandigarh since 13.02.2019. A case FIR No. 58, U/S 363, 366 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Yograj Kaushal R/o # 1632, Saini Vihar, Phase-3, Baltana, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa scooter No. PB-65AE-9130 while parked near Manchanda Book Center, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 10.02.2019. A case FIR No. 202, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa scooter No. CH-49(T)-0390 while parked near her resident on night intervening dated 12/13.02.2019. A case FIR No. 14, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Satinder Singh Walia R/o # 115, Sector-40/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda City car No. CH-01BN-4027 while parked near his residence on 12.02.2019. A case FIR No. 30, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 48, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against Rinku R/o # 2830, Sector-38 (W), Chandigarh (care taker) who rented out room at H.No. 542, Sector-10, Chandigarh without providing tenant information to local Police and violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later bailed out.

A case FIR No. 33, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against Mohan Singh R/o # 1505/1, Sector-29/B, Chandigarh who rented out his residence without providing tenant information to local Police andviolated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later bailed out.

Theft

Raghubir Singh R/o Flat No.2337/D, Block-32, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 03 wheels (02 left side, 01 stepni) of complainant’s Car No. CH-01AY-5255 while parked near his resident on night intervening dated 12/13.02.2019. A case FIR No. 15, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Angad Kumar R/o # 289, Village-Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away two mobile phones from his residence on night intervening dated 11/12.02.2019. A case FIR No. 57, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A lady resident of Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh alleged that Ramesh Kumar R/o # 690, Milk Colony, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh cheated complainant in matter of sale/purchase of House No.144 situated at Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh. Alleged person taken huge amount from complainant and promised to give authority of house. But he neither given authority of said house nor returned her money. A case FIR No. 22, U/S 420, 406 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
