AIBOC MAHAMORCHA AT JANTAR MANTAR NEW DELHI

Today , on the call of AIBOC, a body of bank officers having more than 3.20 Lacs bank officers accross the country ,  “Delhi Chalo ” more than 20000 officers   from the different parts of the country staged a Maha Morca at Jantar Mantar New Delhi , demanding early and decent wage hike , opposing merger of Public Sector Banks , Immediate implementation of five day week , updation of pension , strengent laws for recovery of Corporate bad loans and other issues.

Addressing media persons Sh Deepak Sharma Joint General Secretary AIBOC stated that more than 4000 officers from Haryana, Punjab, J&K, Himachal and Chandigarh UT  participated in the Maha Morcha and displayed their anguish over the delay in resolving long pending genuine demands of wage revision to all scales as per Charter of demands, Scrapping of NPS and restoration of defined pension scheme, five day week, updating of pension and family pension, adequate recruitment in Public Sector Banks, publication of wilful Corporate defaulters and  Compassionate appointment in Banks. Bank officers were also protesting against proposed merger of Vijaya Bank, Dena Bank and Bank of Baroda.

He further said that there is a great resentment amongst Bank officers for undue delay in wage revision  and in case Central Government do not accept  their demands at the earliest  they would further  intensify their agitation.
