Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 09 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 09 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 11 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-19= 1 case, PS-26= 3 cases, PS-Ind. Area= 1 case, PS-Mauli Jagran= 2 cases, PS-I.T Park= 2 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Theft

Sh. Sarwan Singh R/o # 137, Sector-11/A, Chandigarh alleged that Suresh (Servant) has stolen away 4 gold bangles, 1 gold chain, 1 silver chain, 2 diamond rings and 1 silver bangle from complainant’s house on 10.11.2018. A case FIR No. 331, U/S 381 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 209, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the statement of HC. Kuldeep Singh No. 1349/CP, VIP Security, Sector-29, Chandigarh against driver of car No. PB-65AS-3817 namely Gurwinder Singh R/o Plot No. 1/A, Defense Enclave, Ambala Cantt., Haryana who hit to Govt. Vehicle No. CH-01GA-6036 from backside near Motor Market turn, Sector-48, Chandigarh on 11.11.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Arun Sharma R/o Dhuri Sangroor, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. PB-13AY-0175 while parked near Plot No.154-155, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh on 10.11.2018. A case FIR No. 330, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
