PM Modi also inaugurated two sewage infrastructure projects worth Rs 425.41 crore in Varanasi and laid the foundation stone for Rs 72.91 crore project for Ramnagar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the first inland multi- modal terminal port in Varanasi.
The port has been constructed at a cost of Rs 207 crore on River Ganga at Ramnagar in Varanasi.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari were also present along with PM Modi at the mega event.
This is the first of the four Multi-Modal Terminals being constructed on National Waterways-I on River Ganga as part of the World Bank-aided Jal Marg Vikas project of the Inland Waterways Authority of India.
The other three terminals are under construction at Sahibganj, Haldia and Gazipur.

PM Modi during his day-long visit to his parliamentary constituency, is set to inaugurate several projects costing over Rs 2400 crore including two national highways.
