Insp. Amanjot won silver in below 100 kg Commonwealth Judo championship

Inspector Amanjot Singh of Chandigarh Police put in another gem in the field of sports and also brought laurels to the country and to Chandigarh Police by winning silver medal in common wealth judo championship being held at Jaipur, Rajasthan India, from 6th to 10th November. Amanjot Singh represented India in below 100 kg category and won silver medal, in the final bout he lost to Varinder Yadav another contender from India.

This is not first time that Amanjot Singh represented the country in such events, but this silver medal won by him actually an achievement for the country and motivation to the youth and the other police officials working in Chandigarh Police. In this competition almost 15 countries participated i.e. England, South Africa, Jamaica, Mauritius, Mozambique, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Malta, Pakistan, Singapore and Botswana. Now, Amanjot Singh is preparing for world Police & Fire games which are going to held in China in August 2019.
